good cheer

Last post I told you to stay tuned for a video clip I created for the holidays. Here it is.

It hasn't gone viral yet but please pass it around to all your family and friends.

I'm a little concerned that the copyright slimballs lawyers might force the music to be turned off in which case I'll need to redo it.  Actually last year's Christmas video (I'm starting a youtube holiday tradition) had a copyright notice but I was very pleased later that they just displayed the song's owner and an offer to buy it below the video player.  Seems like a win-win to me.

Well here's some holiday cheer and if you are so inclined to partake in the holiday spirits (Irish whiskey goes good with it) I suggest doing so now because the video will be funnier.

Have you posted it on youtube? It is really great. Is your toy robot for sale? I think it could fetch a good price on e-bay because it is an actor in a movie clip.

You are so talented, I am impressed. Musically inclined too!

Yes it's on youtube that's not very hard to do. I have not sold any. Using odds and ends like the top of a tin of mints I put something together that moves around. Typical the thing falls apart so I don't think selling them would work too well.
thanks

Haha - good one! - for a moment I thought Teddy's car was made out of a used sardine can ... :)

Hm. Not sure what to say about this one, Lisleman. I just have to laugh, thinking of you going to all that trouble; you must have had fun.:)

Well that's very close and if I liked sardines it might have been.
thanks

It's a type of creative exercise but just not that creative. Of course I enjoy it because there's not much else from it. It's an ongoing experiment to see what size battery and motor combo works the best. Toy companies probably already know this.
Thanks for watching and if you and others get a laugh then it worked.

At first this made me think of the creepy toys in Toy Story, but the more I watched (and I've done so twice so far) the more I became to like Granny and Purple Bear in their little lopsided vehicle. Although, I did notice at least one scene that Granny was missing. Possibly at trip to the Ladies Room? Special kudos for the kaleidescope effect in the second half! Viral worthy for sure!

How do you make such wonderful toys??!!

thanks - lots of odd parts, masking tape, duct tape, solder iron and a man cave in the basement to experiment in.

sharp eye you have but then I should expect no less from a photographer.
thanks - you're not the first person to say creepy.
The mirror effect comes with the mac.
