Fridays for flying fragments

Mrs. 4444 (she just posted FF #114 - it’s become a big hit - while it’s a long way off I wonder what she has planned for FF #444) has her Friday thing posted again so here’s my contribution. There are good FF posts listed so you are in good company with this group.

I posted about the Flintstones this week, would readers be interested in a top cartoon list? I don't have one but could create one. People love lists. The Simpsons would be on my list but I'm not sure what position. Maybe cartoon characters would be easier. I love tweety bird.

ghost stories - Halloween - horror movie season - fun time? As a kid I enjoyed Halloween (see this post). When I kick my mind into over thinking gear (taking thought curve at a high speed may cause dizziness), I come up with these questions:
  1. Do you know anyone who has had a ghost experience during a bright sunny day?
  2. And what's with the aliens UFO travel schedule? They only fly at night?
  3. Maybe I should post about ghosts. It would a safe non insulting thing - no lawsuits to worry about.
  4. You look for that Bloody Mary in my mirror and your first reaction is, when is the last time this mirror has been cleaned?

Why aren’t aliens sexy?  Mermaids are sexy.  Were they the aliens of the exploring sailing era?  Maybe it was the rum.

Did you hear/read about the latest planet discovery?
Extrasolar planets have been found over the past few years, but most are too big, too close to a star, or too far from a star.  Astronomer Paul Butler assured, "this is really the first Goldilocks planet"—not too hot, not too cold.
I laughed when I read a short piece in the Chicago Tribune today.  At the end of this news they added, “And to make it even more like Earth, BP immediately sent three bears to commence drilling.”
Hey maybe they have sexy aliens living there.

I haven't seen Avatar, but isn't that a sexy alien?

good point - that's a great movie with a message too. Now that I think about it there was some movie (maybe TV series) with a nice looking alien that had cat eyes. I don't know it could have been a dream.

Roger Rabbit.

And why is it that everyone on those ghost chasers shows hears something or sees something but I never hear or see what they are?

Cartoons were a staple of ours on Saturday mornings. I'm sure the list would be a long one. And what is with UFO sightings only in desolate remote areas? Are these super advanced beings afraid of crowds.

Jessica Rabbit (his wife) was a classic. I love the line, "I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way"

Yeah and we have all these airports. I'm sure they could get clearance to land. Oh wait, it that what the new series, "the event" is about?

"Why aren’t aliens sexy?" That's a very good question ;-))))

After all these years I think I'm probably the only person on the planet who has never seen an episode of The Simpsons.

Hope your weekend is great. jj

You bring up some valid questions. I don't think Mermaids are that sexy. But aliens mermaids, that sounds like something I could dig.

I liked Tweety, and Felix The Cat but, I must admit that I would have liked to have seen some of the 'bad guys' win, even just once ... for example, wouldn't it be nice to see Wiley Coyote kicking that perky Roadrunner's butt?

Yeah, the new planet discovery is interesting hey ... leads to all sorts of fantasy speculation ...
