fragments for a friday

( Mrs. 4444 is NOT in this picture )

Isn't technology fun?

Thanks to Mrs. 4444 ( Tetraphobia is an aversion to or fear of the number 4) I have a great way to share some thought fragments with you.

Mommy's Idea

~~~~~~~~
Thinking of technology, what's up with Facebook?  Did you hear about the location apps?  Do we really need location apps tracking us as we go through our daily routines?   I'm not worrying about it because I don't do FB on any smartphone.
~~~~~~~~

From a survey in the UK.  -   One in 10 workers admit they can't stand their colleagues - while 60% admit to being unhappy in their job.
Gee, maybe most are working for "a few clowns short of a circus".

~~~~~~~~
Am I a Lake person ? - Lake Michigan, Squam Lake, Bull Shoals Lake, Lake Powell, Table Rock Lake, Lake Norman, Canadian lakes.  Looking back I’ve had more time on lakes than oceans, but I don't own a boat.  I can swim.
~~~~~~~~

Do you find cable news coverage annoying?  I watch the CNBC business channel most of the time.  Have you ever watched their series "American Greed".  Now those are some stories that will piss you off.  I wish I could direct their coverage of events.  Also, if they are covering something of interest then you get "we are out of time" just when it's getting good.  Who's time are they out of anyway?

~~~~~~~~
If you are from the Chicagoland area then I bet you are sick of the Blagojevich drama.  This nut case will be hitting a few TV talk shows soon.  The best punishment for him would be to NOT place any camera or microphone anywhere near him.
~~~~~~~~

Did you know Kodachrome film is no longer made?  How many kids today know what Kodachrome is?

I enjoyed that video--very cheery. It was also interesting to see the western influence on the Asian girl(s) in that slide (Was that all the same girl??)

I loved your intro :) Thanks for clarifying. LOL

Very glad I don't live in Chicago. Haven't seen that American Greed feature, but I'm pretty sure it would tick me off, too!

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Thanks,
I think they are different girls but I just grabbed the clip from youtube.
Living near but not in Chicago has advantages. I get to be a tourist that knows his way around.

I'm with you on Blagojevich. Enough already. But sadly-- he'll probably end up with a show on Fox news or a reality series.

Lake Erie was in our back yard growing up and I live close to the Pacific Ocean now. Believe it or not, I'd take Lake Erie.

Happy weekend, jj

I live near Philly and am so sick of Blago. I have watched American Greed and it does tick me off. I am a Fox news junkie and surely hope he does not end up there. I love the video it made me smile. I have been thinking a lot lately of the things my grand kids have no idea ever existed like film and land line phones. My grandparents had the same telephone for 42 years. I cannot seem to make one last more than 6 months.
I am blessed to have a job I really like and a new career that is a dream come true. Have a great weekend!

Yeah too bad about the film but even old Kodak could see the writing on the ol' developing tray. I have an original Brownie cam on display. I like that old technology - it reminds me of ME! W.C.C.

I know where I am, and where I'm going. I don't need an app for that. I'll take a lake over the ocean anytime. But my wife, she loves the shore. I remember that song. Haven't heard it in quite a while.

I read somewhere that a family's home was deemed "The Party Place" on Foursquare - which is what the FB app is going to be. But once a place gets put on Foursquare it isn't easily removed. Ahhh, the digital age. I think my camera has a GPS in it, so that when you take a picture of something it puts the coordinates into the photo info.

I answered you in my blog, since your comment came in as no-reply, about being published in the book. Thanks :)

Have a great day,
Kristin
