Chicago circus to start up again

The clown Blago will be bringing his circus to town soon.  Do you know how to pronounce his name - Blagojevich?  If so, you are probably from our fine state of Illinois.  In case you forgot he was our last governor to be thrown out of office and charged in federal court.

The cartoonist Scott Stantis is right on (oh that would be spot on for any Brits reading this) with this cartoon.  Blago is a media seeking clown.  Reality shows, TV talk shows, radio talk show and even a PR appearance singing Elvis songs has been his gig since he was charged.

Back in Dec. 2008, I took some news clips and music clips and did a remix.  It didn't get many views so I question its comedic value.  But I still like it.

Oh for the regular readers, I found another Einstein story.  Did you know Einstein's brain has a story of its own?  Check out this NPR story.

Could we learn anything from Blago's brain?  It probably has a large connection to both his mouth and ass.

I've never really been a fan of clowns in the circus or politics. Except for you, of course. I am a fan of yours.

I have been relieved that we didn't move to Chicago and instead chose Omaha.

thanks - I do wonder if this crazy (I think its crazy) fear of clowns that some people have limits my readership. Do you think clowns are creepy? I read a comment somewhere that basically said mimes are creepy. Did I miss a horror movie along the way or what? That scream mask became scary because of a movie. Did you watch Bozo when you were little?

never knew those were the choices. I like Chicago but then I don't live in the city limits. You know if you offer a TV camera, Blago will go to Omaha. I'm sure of it.

Lisleman, good day! Coulrophobia, to give it it's proper name (I confess, I looked it up on wiki) aka fear of clowns is said, in its pure form (that is NO other phobias/anxiety states) to be quite rare. Certainly I never saw a patient with it. BUT, mixed in with a whole rag bag of other phobias/fears/anxiety states/ neurotic disorder/ attention seeking behaviour it is probably fairly common. So, maybe a blogtitle change?

I'm only afraid of clowns when they mug me. I think Blago would make a perfect running mate with Sarah—unless, that is, he's a Democrat. They're both pretty faces with absolutely no substance or brains.

And speaking of brains, I can't believe I"m sitting here at a few minutes after 6 a.m. reading about Einstein's. I've self-diagnosed my own brainular problems, however, so I'm off to eat a jar of Elmer's glue for breakfast.

thanks Dave but no I don't want to change the blog title. As for Coulrophobia being rare, I think since this problem would not interfere much with one's life it would be very under reported. Hey do you think there's a fear of bottom dwellers?

lisleman said...

glad you enjoyed the Einstein story - take it easy on the glue, I'm not sure which is best for the brain.

I'm hoping the glue will help me keep my thoughts together.

All I know is I like hearing Jon Stewart pronounce it.

How did he become a governor in the first place?

lisleman said...

He told enough people what they wanted to hear. It's hard to figure out the best one at times.

I agree, probably very under-reported; as will be the the soon to be labelled bottom dweller phobia...qualblogophobia?
