Google launches boomer phone

Google (which hosts this blogger service) launched a new phone this week.

It's going to be huge.

Because it is huge.

I think it is targeted at the boomer generation which by now is needing more and more large print for reading.

As you can clearly see this smartphone will be easy to read but -
how many little old ladies would be able to carry it?
Maybe it's for the group still driving those big SUVs.

(thanks to Digital Daily for alerting me to this story and the photo)

That looks like the giant TV remote I bought for my friend for her 50th birthday!

There are some funny youtube clips of a guy answering a giant phone, at the top of his lungs, in places like a quiet library.

I just (yesterday) finally bought my Iphone so anythingelse has to wait. (My son has taken over the phone though, he says he's setting it up to make it easier for me).

I glad to see readers getting a kick out of this.
@secret agent woman - I looked around youtube and found the one I think you mean - it's by Trigger Happy TV which I guess was done for British TV.

That group had another one up there that I need to show my wife because it has a gang of squirrels in it and she is always yelling at squirrels.

thanks for the comments

@green-eyed momster - thanks for the promotion.

With that size touch screen I guess you could use your whole hand instead of just your thumbs.

Now that is a phone even I could love! Maybe even without my reading glasses.
