nature calls on the road

If you have ever traveled the road to Hana, you may have noticed this sign. It's one of the world's most beautiful roads but that unspoiled scenery is mostly unpopulated which means very limited facilities. It was a very welcomed stop for my wife who needed to use the facilities more than me. The facilities were simple - just porta-potties/johnny on the spot/outhouses - whatever your favorite name is for these plastic wonders.

I could have used a sign like this to post for the kids in their bathroom when they were young.

Sometimes nature needs to reminds to appreciate simple things like toilet paper.

Here's how it reads:

I LOVE signs like this! I often photograph them when I see them. I've thought how I'd love to do a whole photo book of signs. This is one though I find very nice because it's honest and in many way heartfelt but cute. And I happen to agree with it. We humans are often too spoiled and expect the Ritz even when we are in nature. So I am proud of the people who put this up. Good for them. :)

@robin thanks for sharing a comment.
Quirky signs and names are fun. I was recently in North Carolina and noticed many of the hair salons had witty funny names but I didn't take the time for a picture. Things like "Hair today gone tomorrow".

@lilly thanks - I'm glad you liked the sign and the video

@thephantom thanks - having digital cameras and cellphones make it much easier. I still don't like cellphone pics. I still miss shots I wish I had taken.
